Travelling to Tallinn
The only international airport is in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. There is good air connection between Tallinn and other European countries. Further information on airport website: www.tallinn-airport.ee
Tallinn can also be reached by ferry from Helsinki and Stockholm. The Old City Harbour is situated right in the city centre. Further information on website: www.portoftallinn.com
From the Tallinn Airport
To get to the Tallinn University from the Airport, we kindly suggest you to take a taxi. There are taxies available in front of the Airport building. Since Tallinn Airport is fairly small you will easily see the taxies waiting in front of the arrivals gate. The cost of taxi drive to the Tallinn University should be approximately 13 EUR. About the same rate applies when driving to one of the pre-booked hotels (Park Inn Central or Nordic Hotel Forum).
You can also use public transportation. The airport’s bus stop is located in front of the terminal of arrivals.Bus No. 2 travels on the route Mõigu – Passenger Port. In the city centre the bus stops next to Viru Keskus at A. Laikmaa Street.
Tickets are sold by the bus driver upon entering the bus. Tickets are available also from the R-Kiosk in the Passenger Terminal. The ticket costs 1.6 EUR when bought from the driver and will grant you the right for one ride.

From the airport to the city, find schedule named ”Moigu-Reisisadam” where the bus stop ”Lennujaam” means the Airport.
There is Airport Shuttle service available at Tallinn Airport. Price for 1-7 people to the city centre is 18 EUR. Price for further destinations are subject to agreement. As a means of payment cash and credit cards are accepted.

From the Port of Tallinn
To get from the harbour to the Tallinn University you should take a taxi. You can find taxies in front of the harbour building (and if you can’t find one, please turn to the information desk). The taxi drive to Tallinn University should cost approximately 7 EUR.
Public transportation in Tallinn
Public transport in Tallinn is by buses, trams and trolley buses. The cost of a single ticket (valid for one journey) is 2 EUR and it can be bought from the bus/tram drivers.
You can also buy a fixed period ticket, but you will need a Public Transport Card for that. The card can be purchased from R-kiosks in the airport/harbour terminal buildings and around the city centre. Ask to add the desired period when buying the card – 1 day – €3; 3 days – €5; 5 days – €6. Note that you will need to validate the Public Transport Card each time when boarding a public transport vehicle.

Taxi
Cost of taxi is approximately 0,55 EUR /per kilometre + starting fare 2,88 EUR. Most of the taxis do not accept payments by card.

The taxi fares may slightly vary depending on the traffic and company. Please note that most of the taxies accept only cash payments, therefore you should change some money in advance, or do it at the currency exchange points (there are exchange points at the airport and at the harbour).
