Update: Thank you for your submissions. We have received a number of excellent submissions and the full program ​will be published very soon.

 

The NBS 2017 conference Program Board welcomes your abstracts for oral presentations, and posters for the parallel sessions which will address five specific themes:

  1. Blue-green infrastructure in smart cities
  2. Integrated water management through natural systems
  3. ICT as a supporting tool for nature based solutions and ecosystems
  4. Ecological restoration through eco-innovation
  5. Nature-based solutions in circular economy

Contributions are welcome from practitioners, policy advisers and scientists, and collaborations of groups. We hope to get a broad representation of related issues and solutions from across Europe.

The Conference Programme Board has received several inquiries about moving the submission deadline for the NBS 2017 Conference. The deadline has been moved forward to the 24th of July 2017.

We are looking forward seeing your oral presentations or posters at the NBS 2017 Conference

Acceptance notifications will be made by August 20th, 2017.

The presentation abstracts are limited to 300 words (the title, authors and institutions are excluded from the word limit).

All abstracts must be submitted in English.

Abstracts are to be e-mailed to , as an e-mail text without attachments, one abstract per e-mail, using the subject line: NBS Abstract Submission 2017.

In the e-mail the full abstract title, author names and affiliations, contact information for the presenting author, abstract text and preferences should be included.

 

Preferences:

  • Talk/ Poster;
  • presentation day (October 25 policy & governance / October 26 practice, research & innovation);
  • session preference (1–5):
  1. Blue-green infrastructure in smart cities
  2. Integrated water management through natural systems
  3. ICT as a supporting tool for nature based solutions and ecosystems
  4. Ecological restoration through eco-innovation
  5. Nature-based solutions in circular economy.

 

Important requirement

  • Each participant is limited to one presentation as first author (for oral or poster presentation), but may be co-author of other presentations.
  • All submissions must be in English, the official language of NBS 2017.
  • Abstracts will be published online at the NBS 2017 web site exactly as submitted.
  • Presenting authors of accepted abstracts must register for the Conference.
  • Each presenting author is responsible for the travel and accommodation costs.
  • Presenting authors should respect the programme’s schedule.

 

Oral Presentations

Oral presentations will have 15-minute time slots. The conference organizers will group oral presentations by theme into sessions that will include three-four individual presentations and time for questions from the audience.

 

Poster Presentations

The poster session provides an interactive forum for authors to discuss their work. The best configuration of your poster is A0 vertical (1189 x 841 mm or 46.8 x 33.1 in). Presenters will be assigned locations to put up their posters, which will be organized by topic. Poster boards and pushpins will be supplied, and posters should be attached to the boards for display.
